WE RESCUE GIRLS ABUSIVE SITUATIONS AND GIVE THEM HOPE

Adonai, a haven of hope : Adonai started in 2012 as a sanctuary for mothers facing unplanned pregnancies when they felt that abortion was their only option. It offered a safe environment for these moms to live and deliver their babies. In 2022, Adonai expanded its mission by partnering with the Department of Social Welfare to accept moms as as young as 12 years old. Many of these young girls have endured abuse at home, making Adonai a crucial refuge where they can find love and acceptance.

Life in the home : Daily life for the girls is structured to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support. They have access to counseling to help them cope with their trauma, comprehensive medical care, and Christ-centered community and churches.

After delivery : The young mothers typically stay for 2-3 months after giving birth. Social workers strive to reconnect them with safe family members during this time, if possible. Some choose to keep their babies and return home, while others opt for adoption. Unfortunately, many young girls do not have a safe home to return to, leading to placements in secure children’s homes, such as the House of Selah. Adonai continues to ensure these girls feel valued and supported throughout their journey.
